Tony's Journeys / Europe
I’ve always been looking for a source in Europe to find things I can’t get in Asia — not furniture, but really offshoot one-of-a-kind unique things. Pieces that make people ask “What is this? What’s the story behind this?” Hungary is a beautiful farm-type country, very green, very lush. And they have incredible antiques from generations of farm life. I met some folks there — a Hungarian woman and an American man who do sourcing. They took me all around Budapest and towards Romania. We became good friends quickly.
This is NOT furniture. This is the uber unique:
Original farm implements with a century of patina
Full-size buckboard wagons. We already sold one — giant thing, gone immediately.
Old corn huskers, tools, equipment with history.
Antique glass with European character.
Winter treasures from another era.
Decorative pieces with incredible character.
"I don't need tables. I don't need cabinets. I don't need any of that from Hungary. Benches maybe. But for the most part, I'm looking for the uber unique. Things nobody has. A crazy mix of things you wouldn't even think you'd find. Everything's got a story — that's what I'm after."
