Architectural Salvage

Doors, gates, and windows pulled from buildings that stood for a
century – rescued before the wrecking ball, restored in the villages
where this craft never died

WHAT SALVAGE MEANS HERE

Every door and gate in this collection had a first life. Haveli doors
from Rajasthan. Teak window frames from Gujarat farmhouses
Iron gates that guarded courtyards for three generations. Tony
buys them where they fall and works with restorers who know
the difference between cleaning a patina and destroying one.
These aren’t reproductions distressed to look old. The wear is
real, which is why no two are alike – and why the photos below
are examples of the style, not a list of what’s in stock

“Somebody carved that door by hand a hundred years ago, and it guarded a family’s home every day since. I find these pieces
before they’re lost – so they can stand watch for a hundred more.”

   – TONY . FOUNDER & PICKER

A sampling of the style – doors, gates, and frames that have already moved through the warehouse.

 – HERE TODAY, GONE TOMORROW

Everything on this page shows examples of pieces that have lived in our warehouse – not current inventory. One-of-a-kind means exactly that. For what arrived
this week, see our Instagram and Facebook, or better: come walk the floor.
