Containers are the objects that hold other things — plants, kitchen tools, throws, firewood — while doing it in a way that earns their spot in the room. The ones here were selected because they do that job better than the alternatives.
You’ll find dowel baskets with lids from workshops in Southeast Asia where basketwork is a serious regional craft. Round metal planters with handle hardware, suitable for both indoor plants and outdoor use. All-metal square tall buckets with a clean industrial profile. Wooden container boxes in tall formats for blankets or rolled towels. Decorative blue-spotted glass pitchers with accompanying plates — functional objects repurposed as display.
Ceramic and glass pieces vary in glaze and color within a production run. If you’re buying two pieces expecting them to match, come in to see them side by side. Workshop production at this scale doesn’t produce machine-perfect uniformity, and that’s part of what makes the pieces interesting.
Some containers are intended for dry use only. Others are sealed for plant use. Ask in the warehouse when you’re evaluating a specific piece.
